Hey guys, This is Arun aka TG and welcome back to GadgetGuruBN. Vivo launched the Y21T in India which is a budget mid range android smartphone and are my honest thoughts about it.

1. Variants, Price, Colors and Release Date:

Variants: 4+128GB.
Price: Rs.16,490.
Colors: Midnight Blue and Pearl White.
Release Date: Available from 03/01/2022 on Flipkart & Amazon.

Vivo Y21T, Adapter, USB Type-C cable, Case, Screen guard, Sim tool and Documentation.

3. Form Factor: [8.1/10]

Dimensions: 164.26 x 76.08 x 8.0 mm. and Weight: 182 g.
Build materials: Glass on front and plastic back along with plastic frame which should provide pretty great build quality. 

4. Display: [8.2/10]

The 6.58 inch 1920 x 2408 pixels FHD+ resolution IPS LCD display that should offer great quality.
The display panel also supports 90 Hz refresh rate and 180 Hz touch sampling rate, 8-Bit / 16 million colors, 393 ppi sharpness and 20:9 aspect ratio.

5. Performance: [8/10]

The overall performance should be pretty great as it features,
SOC: Snapdragon 680 and Technology: 6nm.
CPU: Octa-core consisting of 4 x 2.4 Ghz Cortex-A73 [Kryo 265 gold] & 4 x 1.9 Ghz Cortex-A53 [Kryo 265 silver].
GPU: Adreno 610.
Software: Android OS 11 with Funtouch 11 interface.
Memory : 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM. It also supports virtual RAM upto 1GB.
ROM: 128GB of UFS 2.1 Storage.

6. Camera: [7.9/10]

The device comes with triple rear cameras and single front camera. The overall rear camera quality should be great [8.2/10] in day, pretty good in night [7/10] and the front camera quality should be pretty good overall as it features [camera features: 0.3/0.6],
Main: 50MP with f/1.8 aperture, 1/2.76" sensor size, 0.64 micron pixel & PDAF.
Macro: 2MP with f/2.4 aperture.
Depth: 2MP with f/2.4 aperture.
Flash: Single-LED flash.
Video recording: 1080p@30fps.
Features: Portrait mode, Night mode, Auto HDR and more. 
Front: 8MP with f/1.8 aperture.
Video: 1080p@30fps .

7. Features: [8.3/10]

The device comes with great features that are listed as follows,
Important Sensors: Fingerprint [side mounted].
Connectivity: Dual-band WiFi [2.4/5 GHz], Bluetooth 5.0 [A2DP, LE], USB Type-C, GPS [Single-band GPS L1, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO] and dedicated dual-SIM [nano + nano SIM, dual 4G, VoLTE, VoWiFi] and micro SD slot.
Audio: Single speaker and 3.5mm headphone jack.

8. Battery Life: [8.7/10]

The overall battery life should be excellent as it features,
Battery capacity: Li-Po 5000 mAh.
Charging speed: 18W wired. It also supports reverse charging.

Battery Life Stats:

Screen On Time [ SOT ]: Up to 8:30 hrs average.
Battery Life: Up to 2 days average.

10. Verdict:

After considering the pros, cons and ratings the Vivo Y21T  is a great smartphone at a pretty good price.
So is this ideal budget mid range smartphone?, Not quite there in terms of performance and camera and is priced on the premium side.
