Hey guys, This is Arun aka TG and welcome back to GadgetGuruBN. Motorola launched the G71 5G in India which is a budget mid range android smartphone and are my honest thoughts about it.

1. Variants, Price, Colors and Release Date:

Variants: 6+128GB.
Price: Rs.18,990.
Colors: Arctic Blue and Neptune Green.
Release Date: Available from 19/01/2022 on Flipkart.

2. Box Contents:

Motorola G71, Adapter, USB Type-C cable, Case, Sim tool and Documentation.

3. Form Factor: [8.1/10]

Dimensions: 161.9 x 73.87 x 8.49 mm. and Weight: 179 g.
Build materials: Glass on front and plastic back along with plastic frame which should provide pretty great build quality. 
Rating: IP52 for splash resistance.

4. Display: [8.6/10]

The 6.4 inch 1920 x 2400 pixels FHD+ resolution AMOLED display that should offer excellent quality.
The display panel also supports 60 Hz refresh rate and upto 180 Hz touch sampling rate, 8-Bit / 16 million colors, 409 ppi sharpness, 700 nits of brightness and 20:9 aspect ratio.

5. Performance: [8.7/10]

The overall performance should be excellent as it features,
SOC: Snapdragon 695 and Technology: 6nm.
CPU: Octa-core consisting of 2 x 2.2 Ghz Cortex-A78 [Kryo 660 gold] & 6 x 1.7 Ghz Cortex-A55 [Kryo 660 silver].
GPU: Adreno 619.
Software: Android OS 11 with My UX interface.
Memory : 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM.
ROM: 128GB of UFS 2.1 Storage.

6. Camera: [8.1/10]

The device comes with triple rear cameras and single front camera. The overall rear camera quality should be great [8.4/10] in day, pretty good in night [7/10] and the front camera quality should be very good overall as it features [camera features: 0.4/0.6],
Main: 50MP with f/1.8 aperture, 1/2.76" sensor size, 0.64 micron pixel & PDAF.
Ultrawide: 8MP with f/2.2 aperture, 1/4.0" sensor size, 1.12 micron pixel with 118 degree FOV.
Macro: 2MP with f/2.4 aperture.
Flash: Single-LED flash.
Video recording: 1080p@30/60fps.
Features: Dual capture, Portrait mode, Night mode, Pro mode, Auto HDR and more. 
Front: 16MP with f/2.2 aperture & 1.0 micron pixel.
Video: 1080p@30fps .

7. Features: [8.6/10]

The device comes with excellent features that are listed as follows,
Important Sensors: Fingerprint [rear mounted], Gyroscope & more but misses on compass sensor.
Connectivity: Dual-band WiFi [2.4/5 GHz], Bluetooth 5.0 [A2DP, LE], USB Type-C, GPS [Single-band GPS L1, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO] and dedicated dual-SIM [nano + nano SIM, dual 5G, 4G, VoLTE, VoWiFi] but misses a micro SD slot.
Audio: Single speaker and 3.5mm headphone jack. It also supports Dolby Atmos.

8. Battery Life: [8.6/10]

The overall battery life should be excellent as it features,
Battery capacity: Li-Po 5000 mAh.
Charging speed: 33W wired.

Battery Life Stats:

Screen On Time [ SOT ]: Up to 8:15 hrs average.
Battery Life: Up to 2 days average.

10. Verdict:

After considering the pros, cons and ratings the Motorola G71 5G is a great smartphone at a pretty great price.
