SONY XPERIA E3 REVIEW


Sony launched its entry level midrange android smartphone namely Xperia E3 in India which is priced @ 11,499/- (Single Sim) & 12,499/- (Dual Sim). It is available is Black, White & Copper shades.

DESIGN, BUILD QUALITY & DISPLAY
The design of this phone is great. It has corning gorilla glass 3 on front, plastic back, rubber capped corners which adds to protection and feels very good in hands. It is slim at 8.5mm and weighs 143gms. It has 4.5 inch FWVGA IPS LCD display of resolution 480 x 854 with 218ppi. The viewing angles and sunlight legibility of the display is pretty good. It runs on Xperia User Interface. The display supports 5 multi-touch points and the brightness of the screen is very good.

STORAGE, MULTIMEDIA & CONNECTIVITYS
It has 4GB of internal storage which is further expandable upto 32GB. The device features dedicated multimedia apps like Walkman for songs, an Album to store all images and videos and a Movies for playing movies respectively which are very good. FM radio comes pre-installed. Conductivities like 2G, 3G speeds upto 21.1mbps download & upto 5.76mbps upload, Wifi b/g/n, Wifi direct, Wifi hotsopt, as well as Bluetooth 4.0 LE (Low Energy) but has USB OTG & NFC.

CAMERA & VIDEO RECORDING CAPABILITIES
It has a 5MP rear camera with autofocus and which features such as Geo-tagging, Touch focus, Image stabilization, HDR etc. The camera also has AR (Argumented Reality) Effects & Time shift Burst Mode which captures 30fps images in 2 seconds.The camera clarity is very good overall. Daytime the images are very good and has fine amount of details respectively but in the night is where the noise starts to become bit visible and to get better details at night HDR mode images with bit of steady hands helps to produce slightly better images still image quality at night is acceptable. It does FULL HD 1080p@30fps video recording with video stabilization and stereo sound having bit-rate of 16mbps and stores in mp4 format. The video recording clarity is very good overall. Daytime the video clarity is very good and has good amount of details respectively but at night video clarity is acceptable. It also has a VGA front facing camera for selfe's which does 480p and clarity is descent.

SOFTWARE, HARDWARE, PERFORMANCE & BENCHMARKS
It runs Android (OS) 4.4.2 Kitkat out of the box. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 (MSM8226) processor running a quad core 1.2 GHZ (Cortex-A7) with 1GB RAM and Adreno 305 (450MHZ Single core) GPU. The performance is very good which provides number of graphic intensive games and multitasking run just well enough and there is no lag at all.

BATTERY LIFE PERFORMANCE
It has a Non-Removable Li-Ion 2330 mah battery. The battery life is Excellent which is given below.

*Display is pretty good could have been better for the competition.
*Very Limited user avaliable storage hampering true capability of this product Software update to lollipop might fix this issue.
*No dedicated camera key.
