DESIGN, BUILD QUALITY & DISPLAY
The design of this phone is very good. It has 2.5D curved Scratch resistance glass on front and an aluminium unibody back and feels great in hands. It is slim at 8.5mm and weighs 165gms. It has 5.5 inch Full HD IPS LCD display of resolution 1920 x 1280 with 401ppi. The viewing angles are and sunlight legibility of the display is very good. It runs on MI 8.0 Interface. The display supports 10 multi-touch points and the brightness of the screen is very good. The display has color balance settings and overall display quality is quite great.
STORAGE, MULTIMEDIA & CONNECTIVITIES
It has 32/64GB of internal storage which is further expandable upto 256GB. The device features dedicated multimedia apps like google play music for songs and a stock gallery and a video player which are good. FM radio comes pre-installed too. When it comes to multimedia experience from the device is very good overall thanks to big screen, the video watching experience is quite great and adding to the experience is the audio quality both from loudspeaker and from headphone jack is overall very good. Connectivities like 2G, 3G speeds upto 42.2mbps download & upto 5.76mbps upload, 4G speeds upto 150mbps & upto 50mbps upload, Wifi a/b/g/n/ac, Dual-Band Wifi, Wifi hotsopt, A-GPS & GLONASS, USB OTG & Bluetooth 4.1 support come standard. It also has Fingerprint scanner which performs excellent in terms of accuracy and responsiveness, Gyroscope sensor which works very well with 360 degree videos and also comes loaded with great feature list including fingerprint gestures and more.
CAMERA & VIDEO RECORDING CAPABILITIES
It has a 13MP (F/2.0 Aperture, 1.12 Micron pixel) rear camera with Phase detection autofocus and Dual LED (Dual-tone) flash which features Simultaneous image and video recording, Geo-tagging, Touch focus for still image and video, HDR etc. The camera clarity is very good overall. Daytime the images are very good and has very good sharpness, colors & details respectively but in the night is where the noise starts to become more visible and to get better details at night HDR mode images with bit of steady hands helps to produce slightly better images still image quality at night is just good could have been much better. It does 1080p@30fps & 720p@120fps video recording with video stabilization and stereo sound having bit-rate of 17 mbps for 1080p respectively and stores in mp4 format. The video recording clarity is Very good overall. Daytime the video clarity is very good and has good sharpness, colors & details respectively but at night video clarity is just good but the video stabilization could have been bit better. It also has a 5MP (F/2.0 Aperture) front camera for selfe's which does 1080p video recording and clarity is quite good.
SOFTWARE, HARDWARE, PERFORMANCE & BENCHMARKS
It runs Android (OS) 6.0,1 Marshmallow out of the box. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 (MSM8953) 64-Bit SOC (System On Chip) running an Octa-Core processor clocked at 2.0 GHZ (ARM Cortex-A53 Architecture) with 2/3&4GB RAM Options and Adreno 506 (upto 650MHZ Single-Core) GPU. The performance is Great overall which provides high graphic intensive games pretty much fine without any major issues for most part, I was able to run Modern combat 5 and the gaming performance was very good overall didn't notice any major lag. The Memory management is poor & other heavy games should be more than very much playable but due to disappointing memory management should kill all apps for smother gaming experience, also low/medium should run perfectly fine, from Epic citadel graphics score tells the gaming performance is very good. When it comes to heating I found the device gets warm not uncomfortably warm/hot which is pretty good. The general performance of the device was very smooth didn't notice any major lag from the UI (User Interface) which is very good in my opinion. The benchmark scores are great for the hardware and great for this price range which is given below.
