Sony launched its mid-range android smartphone namely Xperia XA (Dual Sim) in India which is priced at 19,990/-. It is available in Graphite Black, White, Lime Gold & Rose Gold shades.
DESIGN, BUILD QUALITY & DISPLAY
The design of this phone is very good. It has 2.5D curved scratch resistant glass on front & polycarbonate back surrounded by metal frame which feels quite excellent in hands as its the narrowest phone for its display size. It is slim at 7.9mm and weighs 137.4gms. It has 5 inch HD IPS LCD display of resolution 720 x 1280 with 294ppi. The viewing angles are quite good and sunlight legibility of the display is very good. It runs on Xperia User Interface. The display supports 5 multi-touch points and the brightness of the screen is very good. The display has mobile Bravia engine 2 & super vivid mode which are very good.
STORAGE, MULTIMEDIA & CONNECTIVITIES
It has 16GB of internal storage which is further expandable upto 200GB. The device features dedicated multimedia apps like Walkman for songs, an Album to store all images and videos and a Movies for playing movies respectively which are very good. FM radio comes pre-installed. Connectivities like 2G, 3G speeds upto 42mbps download & upto 5.76mbps upload, 4G speeds upto 150mbps download & upto 50mbps upload, Wifi a/b/g/n, Wifi dual-band, Wifi direct, Wifi hotsopt, USB OTG, Bluetooth 4.1 and NFC come standard, but lacks IR Blaster.
CAMERA & VIDEO RECORDING CAPABILITIES
It has a 13MP (1/3inch Exmor-RS sensor, F2.0 Aperture) rear camera with predective hybrid autofocus and LED flash which features Simultaneous image and video recording, Geo-tagging, Touch focus, Image stabilization, HDR etc and other modes as well. The camera clarity is excellent overall. Daytime the images are great and has good amount of details respectively but in the night is where the noise starts to become bit visible visible and to get better details at night HDR mode images with bit of steady hands helps to produce slightly better images still image quality at night is pretty good. It does Full HD 1080p@60fps video recording with Steady shot intelligent active video stabilization and stereo sound with HDR having bit-rate of 18mbps respectively and stores in mp4 format. The video recording clarity is excellent overall. Daytime the video clarity is great and has good amount of details respectively but at night video clarity is pretty good. It also has a 8MP (1/4 inch Exmor-R sensor, F2.0 Aperture) front camera with autofocus for selfe's with 1080p video recording and clarity is very good.

It runs on Android(OS) 6.0 Marshmallow of the box with planned upgrade to Android 7.0 Nougat. It has a MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755) 64-Bit SOC (System On Chip) running an Octa-Core processor clocked at 2.0GHZ (ARM Cortex-A53 Architecture) with 2 GB RAM and a Mali-T860 MP2 GPU (650MHZ Single core). The performance is very good which provides high graphic intensive games and multitasking pretty well and there is no major lag at most cases.
