IFA 2016 HIGHLIGHTS SEPTEMBER 1 - SEPTEMBER 6 2016
IFA Berlin (Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin) is the annual consumer electronics show held in Berlin, Germany which serves as launching platform for smartphone's, smart watches and tablet from various brand manufactures.
SONY
Sony announced in its smartphone division two new devices of their X-series Xperia lineup namely Xperia XZ & Xperia X Compact. The Xperia XZ is flagship sporting a 5.2 inch Full HD IPS Display, Snapdragon 820 SOC with 3GB RAM, 32GB Storage with MicroSD support for 200GB, IP68 Certified Water resistant & Dust proof, 23MP rear Camera with Predective Hybrid Autofocus including laser & RGBC IR sensor System with 4K video recording & 13MP front camera, Alkaliedo material body design, USB Type-C, Fingerprint Scanner and 2900mah battery. The Xperia X Compact on the other hand has almost identical specifications of Xperia XZ with 4.6 inch HD IPS Display, Snapdragon 650 SOC & 2700 mah battery instead and misses out on 4K video recording, IP68 certification and Alkaliedo material body and the duo smartphones running Android OS 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The pricing is expected to retail around 48,900 (735$ USD) for XZ & 37,900 (567$ USD) for X Compact with expected September/October release.

SAMSUNG
Samsung announced two the next generation smart watches the Gear S3 Frontier & Gear S3 Classic. They come loaded with 1.3 inch circular Super Amoled displays (Always-on display) with 360x360 resolution having 278 PPI (Pixels Per Inch) covered in Corning gorilla glass SR+, Dual-Core 1Ghz Processors, 4GB storage with 768MB RAM running Tizen 2.3.2 OS powered by 380mah batteries & IP68 Certified Water resistant & Dust proof. They also feature heart rate, Barometer, Gyroscope sensors and are expected to be released soon with unknown price tag.
HTC
HTC announced in smartphone division a mid-ranger namely One A9s. The One A9s is a mid-ranger sporting a 5 inch HD Super LCD Display, MediaTek Helio P10 SOC with 2/3GB RAM, 16/32GB Storage with Micro SD support for 200GB, 13MP rear & 5MP front camera, metal unibody design, Fingerprint Scanner and 2300mah battery running Android OS 6.0 Marshmallow. It is expected October release with unknown price tag.
LENOVO
Lenovo announced in its smartphone division trio devices of their K-series lineup namely K6, K6 power & K6 note. The K6 note is sporting a 5.5 inch Full HD IPS display, Snapdragon 430 SOC with 3GB/4GB RAM, 32GB Storage with MicroSD support for 200GB, 16MP rear Camera with Phase detection Autofocus System & 8MP front camera, metallic design, Fingerprint Scanner and 4000mah battery. The K6 Power on the other hand has almost identical specificationsof K6 note with a 5 inch Display size, 16GB with 2GB RAM/32GB with 3GB RAM, 13MP rear camera & 4000 mah battery. The K6 has almost identical specifications of K6 power with a 16GB with 2GB RAM & 3000 mah battery and the trio smartphones running Android OS 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The pricing is expected to retail around 12,500 (188$ USD) for K6 note, 10,500 (158$ USD) for K6 power & 9,500 (142$ USD) for K6 with expected September/October release.

Asus announced the next generation smart watches the Zenwatch 3. They come loaded with 1.39 inch circular Amoled displays with 400x400 resolution having 287 PPI (Pixels Per Inch) covered in corning gorilla glass 3, Quad-Core Snapdragon SOC, 4GB storage with 512MB RAM running Android wear 2.0 OS powered by 341mah batteries & IP67 IP68 Certified Water resistant & Dust proof. It is expected at Q4 released with expected to retail around 16,900 (254$ USD)price tag.
HUAWEI
Huawei announced in its smartphone division two mid-rangers devices of their lineup namely Nova & Nova Plus Compact. The Nova Plus is sporting a 5.5 inch Full HD IPS Display, Snapdragon 625 SOC with 3GB RAM, 32GB Storage with MicroSD support for 200GB, IP68 Certified Water resistant & Dust proof, 16MP rear Camera with Phase detection Autofocus including OIS System with 4K video recording & 8MP front camera, metallic unibody design, USB Type-C, Fingerprint Scanner and 3340mah battery. The Nova on the other hand has almost identical specifications of Nova Plus with 5 inch Display size, 12MP rear Camera with Phase detection Autofocus including OIS System with 4K video recording & 3020 mah battery and the duo smartphones running Android OS 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The pricing is expected to retail around 32,900 (495$ USD) for Nova Plus & 29,900 (450$ USD) for Nova with expected September/October release.
