SONY XPERIS M5 REVIEW


Sony launched its successor to previous midrange android smartphone namely Xperia M5 (Dual Sim) in India which is priced @ 37,990/-. It is available in Black, White & Gold shades.

DESIGN, BUILD QUALITY & DISPLAY
The design of this phone is very good. It has corning glass 3 on front and a glass back and feels great in hands. It is slim at 7.6mm and weighs 142.5gms. It has 5 inch Full HD IPS LCD display of resolution 1920 x 1280 with 441ppi. The viewing angles are very good and sunlight legibility of the display is very good too. It runs on Xperia User Interface. The display supports 10 multi-touch points and the brightness of the screen is very good. The display as triluminous display and mobile bravia engine 2 which is very good.

STORAGE, MULTIMEDIA & CONNECTIVITIES
It has 16GB of internal storage which is further expandable upto 200GB. The device features dedicated multimedia apps like Walkman for songs, an Album to store all images and videos and a Movies for playing movies respectively which are very good. FM radio comes pre-installed. Connectivities like 2G, 3G speeds upto 42mbps download & upto 5.76mbps upload, 4G speeds upto 150mbps download & upto 50mbps upload, Wifi a/b/g/n, Wifi dual-band, Wifi direct, Wifi hotsopt, USB OTG as well as Bluetooth 4.1 and also has NFC.

CAMERA & VIDEO RECORDING CAPABILITIES
It has a 21.2MP rear camera with Hybrid phase detection & laser autofocus (company claimed  or 0.25 seconds to focus) and Led flash which features Superior auto mode(optimises right settings at right time),Simultaneous HD video and image recording, Time-Shift burst mode (snaps 61 images in 2 seconds and starts before u hit the shutter key), Geo-tagging, AR (Argument Reality) effects, Image stabilization, Sweep panorama, HDR etc. The camera clarity is Excellent.very Daytime the images are excellent  and has good amount of details respectively but in the night is where the noise starts to become bit visible and to get better details at night HDR mode images with bit of steady hands helps to produce slightly better images still image quality at night is quite very good too. It does 4K Ultra HD 2160p@30fps, Full HD 1080p@60fps as well as 30fps & 720p@120fps with HDR for full hd video recording with video stabilizatio and stereo sound having bitrate of 49 Mbps for 4K, 29 Mbps for full hd in 60fps & 18Mbps in 30fps & stores in MP4 files. The video recording clarity is Excellent. Daytime the video clarity is excellent and has good amount of details respectively but at night video clarity is quite very good too. It has a 13 MP Front camera with autofocus which does Full HD 1080p@30fps HDR and clarity is very good.

SOFTWARE, HARDWARE, PERFORMANCE & BENCHMARKS
It runs Android (OS) 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. It has a Mediatek Helio X10 (MT6795) 64-Bit SOC (System On Chip) running an Octa-Core processor clocked at 2.0 GHZ (ARM Cortex-A53 Architecture) with 3GB RAM and PowerVR G6200(550MHZ SingleCore) GPU. The performance is excellent  which provides number of graphic intensive games and multitasking run very well and there is no lag at all.
