Sony launched its successor to previous midrange android smartphone namely Xperia C5 Ultra (Dual Sim) in India which is priced @ 29,990/-. It is available in Black, White & Mint shades.

DESIGN, BUILD QUALITY & DISPLAY

The design of this phone is very good . It has corning glass 3 on front and a glass finish polycarbonate material back and feels great in hands. It is slim at 8.2mm and weighs 187gms. It has 6 inch FULL HD IPS LCD display of resolution 1920 x 1280 with 367ppi. The viewing angles are very good and sunlight legibility of the display is very good. It runs on Xperia User Interface. The display supports 10 multi-touch points and the brightness of the screen is very good.The display has mobile bravia engine 2 which is very good.

STORAGE, MULTIMEDIA & CONNECTIVITIES

It has 16GB of internal storage which is further expandable upto 200GB. The device features dedicated multimedia apps like Walkman for songs, an Album to store all images and videos and a Movies for playing movies respectively which are very good. FM radio comes pre-installed. Conductivities like 2G, 3G speeds upto 42mbps download & upto 5.76mbps upload, 4G speeds upto 150mbps download & upto 50mbps upload, Wifi a/b/g/n, Wifi dual-band, Wifi direct, Wifi hotsopt, USB OTG as well as Bluetooth 4.0 LE (Low Energy) and also has NFC.

CAMERA & VIDEO RECORDING CAPABILITIES

It has a 13MP rear camera with autofocus and Led flash which features Simultaneous image and video recording, Geo-tagging, Touch focus, Image stabilization, HDR etc and also has AR (Argumented Reality) Effect, Time shift burst which captures 30 images within 2 seconds etc. The camera clarity is Great overall. Daytime the images are very good and has good amount of details respectively but in the night is where the noise starts to become bit visible visible and to get better details at night HDR mode images with bit of steady hands helps to produce slightly better images still image quality at night is just good and could have been better. It does FULL HD1080p@30fps HDR video recording with video stabilization and stereo sound having bit-rate of 17-18mbps and stores in mp4 format. The video recording clarity is Great overall. Daytime the video clarity is very good and has good amount of details respectively but at night video clarity is just good could have been bit better. It also has a 13MP front camera with autofocus Led flash for selfe's with 1080p@30fps video recording and clarity is Excellent.

SOFTWARE, HARDWARE, PERFORMANCE & BENCHMARKS

It runs Android (OS) 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. It has a Mediatek (MT6752) SOC (System On Chip) running an Octa-Core processor clocked at 1.7GHZ (ARM Cortex-A53 Architecture) with 2GB RAM and MaliT-760MP2 (400MHZ Dual Core) GPU. The performance is great which provides number of graphic intensive games and multitasking run very well and there is no lag at all.
