LG G FLEX 2 REVIEW


LG launched its flagship android smartphone namely G Flex 2 in India which is priced @ 54,990/-(16GB variant) & 58,990/-(32GB variant). It is available is Platinum Silver and Flamenco Red shades.

DESIGN, BUILD QUALITY & DISPLAY
The design of this phone is very good. It has a corning gorilla glass 3 on front and a Self healing back panel coating which erases minor scratches in upto 10 seconds automatically in room temperature according to LG. It is slim at 9.4mm and weighs 152gms. It has 5.5 inch Curved P-OLED Full HD display of resolution 1920 x 1280 with 401 ppi. The viewing angles and sunlight legibility of the display are very good. It runs on Optimus 3.0 User Interface. The display supports 10 multi-touch points and the brightness of the screen is great.

STORAGE, MULTIMEDIA & CONNECTIVITIES
It has 16GB/32GB of internal storage which is further expandable upto 128GB. The device features dedicated multimedia apps like music for songs, a gallery to store all images and videos and a video player for playing movies respectively which are pretty good. FM radio comes pre-installed. Connectivities like 2G, 3G speeds upto 21.1mbps download & upto 5.76mbps upload, 4G speeds upto 150mbps download & upto 50mbps upload, Wifi b/g/n, Wifi direct, Wifi hotsopt, USB OTG as well as Bluetooth 4.1 LE (Low Energy) and NFC & USB OTG suppoet as well as IR Blaster support too.

CAMERA & VIDEO RECORDING CAPABILITIES
It has a 13MP Optically stabilized rear camera with laser autofocus and dual LED flash which features Simultaneous image and video recording, Geo-tagging, Touch focus, Image stabilization, HDR etc. The camera clarity is very good overall. Daytime the images are very good and has good amount of details respectively but in the night is where the noise starts to become bit visible visible and to get better details at night HDR mode images with bit of steady hands helps to produce slightly better images still image quality at night is acceptable. It does 4K (Ultra HD) 2160p@30fps, Full HD1080p@60fps & 30fps HDR video recording with video stabilization and stereo sound having bit-rate of 47mbps, 34mbps & 17mbps respectively and stores in mp4 format. The video recording clarity is Very good overall. Daytime the video clarity is Very good and has good amount of details respectively but at night video clarity is acceptable could have been bit better. It also has a 2.1MP front camera for selfe's with 1080p video recording and clarity is pretty good.

SOFTWARE, HARDWARE, PERFORMANCE & BENCHMARKS
It runs Android (OS) 5.0.1 Lollipop out of the box upgradable to 5.1.1 Lollipop. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 (MSM8994) 64-Bit SOC (System On Chip) running an Octa-Core processor which is a combination of a Quad-core processor clocked at 2 GHZ (ARM Cortex-A57 Architecture) & a Quad-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHZ (ARM Cortex-A53 Architecture) with 2GB RAM (16GB Variant)/ 3GB RAM (32GB Variant) and Adreno 430 (650MHZ Single-Core) GPU. The performance is Excellent which provides number of graphic intensive games and multitasking run very well and there is no lag at all.
