Asus launched its smartphone in India namely Zenfone 2 (Dual Sim) sold via Flipkart @ 16,999/-(2GB RAM variant) & 19,999/-(4GB RAM variant). It is available in Black, Grey, White, Red and Gold shades.
The design of this phone is good. It has corning glass 3 on front and a plastic on the back and feels pretty good in hands. It is slim at 10.9mm and weighs 170gms. The 4GB RAM variant has 5.5 inch Full HD IPS LCD display resolution of resolution 1920X1280 with 401ppi and the 2GB RAM variant has 5.5 inch HD IPS LCD display resolution of resolution 720X1280 with 267ppi. The viewing angles and sunlight legibility of the display is very good. It runs on Zen User Interface. The display supports 10 multi-touch points and the brightness of the screen is Very good.
STORAGE, MULTIMEDIA & CONNECTIVITIES
It has 16GB(2GB RAM Variant) & 32GB(4GB RAM Variant) of internal storage which is further expandable upto 64GB. The device features dedicated multimedia apps like google play music for songs and a stock gallery and a video player which are good. FM radio comes pre-installed too. Conductivities like 2G, 3G speeds upto 42.2mbps download & upto 5.76mbps upload, 4G speeds upto 150mbps download & upto 50mbps upload, Wifi b/g/n, Wifi hotspot as well as Bluetooth 4.0 LE (Low Energy) also has USB OTG too.
CAMERA & VIDEO RECORDING CAPABILITIES
It has a 13MP rear camera with autofocus which features Simultaneous image and video recording, Geo-tagging, Touch focus, Image stabilization, HDR etc. The camera clarity is pretty good overall. Daytime the images are pretty good and has fine details respectively but in the night is where the noise starts to become more visible and to get better details at night HDR mode images with bit of steady hands helps to produce slightly better images still image quality at night is pretty fine. It does Full HD 1080p@30fps video recording with video stabilization and stereo sound having bit-rate of 16-18 mbps and stores in mp4 format. The video recording clarity is very good overall. Daytime the video clarity is good and has fine details respectively but at night video clarity is Pretty fine. It has a 5MP front facing camera for selfe's which does 7 .
