Xiaomi launched its midrange android tablet namely Mi Pad in India which is priced @ 12,999/- sold via Flipkart. It is available is Blue, White, Yellow, Pink, Grey & Green shades.

DESIGN, BUILD QUALITY & DISPLAY
The design of this tablet is very good which also resembles to Apple's IPad. It has corning glass 3 on front and a glossy plastic back and feels pretty good in hands. It is slim at 8.5mm and weighs 360gms. It has 7.9 inch IPS LCD display of resolution 1536 x 2048 with 324 ppi. The viewing angles are very good and sunlight legibility of the display is Excellent. It runs on MI 6.0 User Interface. The display supports 10 multi-touch points and the brightness of the screen is Great.

STORAGE, MULTIMEDIA & CONNECTIVITYS
It has 8GB of internal storage which is further expandable upto 32GB. The device features dedicated multimedia apps like music for songs, a gallery to store all images and videos and a video player for playing movies respectively which are very good. FM radio comes pre-installed. Connectivities like Wifi a/b/g/n/, Wifi dual-band, Wifi direct, Wifi hotsopt, USB OTG as well as Bluetooth 4.0 LE (Low Energy). Lacks Cellular & GPS support. 

CAMERA & VIDEO RECORDING CAPABILITIES
It has a 8MP rear camera with autofocus and Led flash which features Simultaneous image and video recording, Geo-tagging, Touch focus, Image stabilization, HDR etc. The camera clarity is very good overall. Daytime the images are very good and has good amount of details respectively but in the night is where the noise starts to become bit visible visible and to get better details at night HDR mode images with bit of steady hands helps to produce slightly better images still image quality at night is just good and could have been better. It does FULL HD 1080p@30fps video recording with video stabilization and stereo sound having bit-rate of 17-18mbps and stores in mp4 format. The video recording clarity is very good overall. Daytime the video clarity is very good and has good amount of details respectively but at night video clarity is just good could have been bit better. It also has a 5MP front camera for selfe's with 720p video recording and clarity is quite good.

SOFTWARE, HARDWARE, PERFORMANCE & BENCHMARKS
It runs Android (OS) 4.4.4 Kitkat out of the box. It has a Nvidia Tegra K1 (T132) 64-Bit Denver processor running a dual core at 2.3 GHZ (ARM Cortex-A15 Architecture Revision 3) with 2GB RAM and Kepler DX1 GPU (192 NVIDIA CUDA core) GPU. The performance is Top class which provides number of graphic intensive games and multitasking run very well and there is no lag at all.
