Lenovo launched its budget 4G android smartphone namely A6000 in India which is priced at 6,999/- sold via Flipkart. It is available is Black shades.
DESIGN, BUILD QUALITY & DISPLAY
The design of this phone is good. It has corning glass 3 on front and a matte plastic on the back and feels very good in hands. It is slim at 8.2mm and weighs 128gms. It has 5 inch HD IPS LCD display of resolution 720 x 1280 with 294ppi. The viewing angles are Excellent and sunlight legibility of the display is very good. It runs on Vibe 2.0 User Interface. The display supports 10 multi-touch points and the brightness of the screen is very good.
STORAGE, MULTIMEDIA & CONNECTIVITYS
It has 8GB of internal storage which is further expandable upto 32GB. The device features dedicated multimedia apps like google play music for songs and a stock gallery and a video player which are good. FM radio comes pre-installed too. Connectivities like 2G, 3G speeds upto 42.2mbps download & upto 5.76mbps upload, 4G speeds upto 150mbps & upto 50mbps upload, Wifi b/g/n, Wifi hotsopt as well as Bluetooth 4.0LE (Low Energy). But lacks USB OTG support.
CAMERA & VIDEO RECORDING CAPABILITIES
It has a 8MP rear camera with autofocus and Led flash which features Simultaneous image and video recording, Geo-tagging, Touch focus, Image stabilization, HDR etc. The camera clarity is Great overall. Daytime the images are Great and has fine details respectively but in the night is where the noise starts to become more visible and to get better details at night HDR mode images with bit of steady hands helps to produce slightly better images still image quality at night is quite good could have been bit better. It does 720p@24fps video recording with video stabilization and stereo sound having bit-rate of 9 mbps respectively and stores in mp4 format. The video recording clarity is pretty good overall. Daytime the video clarity is pretty good and has fine details respectively but at night video clarity is average could have been bit better. It also has a 2MP front camera for selfe's which does 720p video recording and clarity is quite nice.
SOFTWARE, HARDWARE, PERFORMANCE & BENCHMARKS
It runs Android (OS) 4.4.4 Kitkat out of the box. It has a Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) 64-Bit SOC (System On Chip) running a Quad-Core processor clocked at 1.2 GHZ (ARM Cortex-A53 Architecture) with 1 GB RAM and Adreno 306 (400MHZ single core) GPU. The performance is very good which provides number of graphic intensive games and multitasking run very well and there is no lag at all.
