NOKIA LUMIA 530 REVIEW

Nokia launched its entry level windows phone namely Lumia 530 in India which is priced @ 9,499/-. It is available is Grey, White, Green & Orange.

DESIGN, BUILD QUALITY & DISPLAY

The design of this phone is good. It has corning gorilla glass  on front and a plastic back and feels good in hands. It is slim at 11.7mm and weighs 129gms. It has 4 inch FWVGA LCD display of resolution 480 x 854 with 245 ppi. The viewing angles are pretty good and sunlight legibility of the display is also quite good. It runs on windows tile based User Interface. The brightness of the screen is quite good.

STORAGE, MULTIMEDIA & CONNECTIVITYS

It has 4GB of internal storage which is further expandable upto 128GB. The device features dedicated multimedia apps which are good. FM radio comes pre-installed. Conductivities like 2G, 3G speeds upto 21.1mbps download & upto 5.76mbps upload, Wifi b/g/n, Wifi direct, Wifi hotsopt as well as Bluetooth 4.0 LE (Low Energy).

CAMERA & VIDEO RECORDING CAPABILITIES

It has a 5MP rear camera 1/4 inch sensor with autofocus which features Simultaneous image and video recording, Geo-tagging, Touch focus, Image stabilization, HDR etc. The camera clarity is pretty good overall. Daytime the images are pretty good and has fine details respectively but in the night is where the noise starts to become more visible and night still image quality at night is pretty average could have been better. It does 480p@30fps video recording with video stabilization and stereo sound having bit-rate of 6 mbps and stores in mp4 format. The video recording clarity is quite good overall. Daytime the video clarity is quite good and has fine details respectively but at night video clarity is pretty average could have been bit better. It doesn't have a front facing camera. 

SOFTWARE, HARDWARE & PERFORMANCE

It runs Microsoft Windows phone 8.1(OS) out of the box. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 (MSM8210) processor running a quad core 1.2 GHZ (Cortex-A7) with 512MB RAM and Adreno 305 (400MHZ single core) GPU. The performance is Quite good which provides number of graphic intensive games and multitasking run quite well and there is bit of lag at some cases

BATTERY LIFE PERFORMANCE

It has a removable Li-Ion 1430 mah battery. The battery life is good which is given below.

TALKTIME : upto 16H(2G) / upto 14:30H(3G).

STANDBY TIME: upto 520H(2G) / upto480H(3G).
