MOTOROLA NEXUS 6 REVIEW


Motorola & Google launched its successor of the Nexus line of android smartphone namely Nexus 6 in India which is priced @ 48,999/-. It is available is Black and white shades.

DESIGN, BUILD QUALITY & DISPLAY
The design of this phone is good. It has corning glass 3 on front and a polycarbonate on the back and feels great in hands. It is slim at 10.1mm and weighs 184gms. It has 5.96 inch QuadHD AMOLED display of resolution 2560 x 1440 with 493 ppi. The viewing angles and sunlight legibility of the display is Excellent. It runs on Stock android User Interface. The display supports 10 multi-touch points and the brightness of the screen is great.

STORAGE, MULTIMEDIA & CONNECTIVITYS
It has 32GB/64GB of internal storage which is not further expandable. The device features dedicated multimedia apps like google play music for songs and a stock gallery and a video player which are good. FM radio comes pre-installed too. Connectivities like 2G, 3G speeds upto 42.2mbps download & upto 5.76mbps upload, 4G speeds upto 150mbps download & upto 50mbps upload, Wifi a/b/g/n/ac, Wifi Dual Band, Wifi hotsopt, USB OTG as well as Bluetooth 4.1 LE (Low Energy). But has NFC & lacks IR blaster.

CAMERA & VIDEO RECORDING CAPABILITIES
It has a 13MP optically stabilised rear camera with autofocus and dual Led flash which features Simultaneous image and video recording, Geo-tagging, Touch focus, Image stabilization, HDR etc. The camera clarity is Excellent overall. Daytime the images are Excellent and has fine details respectively but in the night is where the noise starts to become more visible and to get better details at night HDR mode images with bit of steady hands helps to produce slightly better images still image quality at night is quite nice could have been bit better. It does 4K 2160p@30fps & 1080p@30fps HDR video recording with video stabilization and stereo sound having bit-rate of 49mbps & 17mbps respectively and stores in mp4 format. The video recording clarity is Excellent overall. Daytime the video clarity is Excellent and has fine details respectively but at night video clarity is pretty nice could have been bit better. It also has a 2MP front camera for selfe's which does 1080p video recording and clarity is quite good.

SOFTWARE, HARDWARE, PERFORMANCE & BENCHMARKS
It runs Android (OS) 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 (APQ8084) 64-Bit processor running a quad core at 2.7 GHZ (Cortex-A53 architecture) with 3 GB RAM and Adreno 420 (600MHZ single core) GPU. The performance is Top class which provides number of graphic intensive games and multitasking run very well and there is no lag at all.

BATTERY LIFE PERFORMANCE
It has a non removable Li-Ion 3200 mah battery. The battery life is very good which is given below. It also supports Qualcomm's quick charging technology.
