HTC & Google launched its successor of the Nexus tablet line of android tablet namely Nexus 9 in India which is priced @ 28,999 (Wifi Version) & 44,999/- (LTE Version). It is available is Black, Sand and white shades.
DESIGN, BUILD QUALITY & DISPLAY
The design of this phone is Very good. It has corning glass 3 on front and a polycarbonate on the back and feels great in hands. It is slim at 8mm and weighs 425gms (Wifi version) & 436gms (LTE version). It has 8.9 inch QXGA IPS LCD display of resolution 1536 x 2048 with 281ppi. The viewing angles and sunlight legibility of the display is Excellent. It runs on Stock Android User Interface. The display supports 10 multi-touch points and the brightness of the screen is great.
STORAGE, MULTIMEDIA & CONNECTIVITYS
It has 16GB(Wifi version) / 32GB(LTE version) of internal storage which is not further expandable. The device features dedicated multimedia apps like google play music for songs and a stock gallery and a video player which are good. FM radio comes pre-installed too. Connectivities like 2G, 3G speeds upto 42.2mbps download & upto 5.76mbps upload, 4G speeds upto 150mbps download & upto 50mbps upload, Wifi a/b/g/n/ac, Wifi Dual Band, Wifi hotsopt, USB OTG as well as Bluetooth 4.1 LE (Low Energy). But has NFC & lacks IR blaster.
CAMERA & VIDEO RECORDING CAPABILITIES
It has a 8MP rear camera with autofocus and Led flash which features Simultaneous image and video recording, Geo-tagging, Touch focus, Image stabilization, HDR etc. The camera clarity is Great overall. Daytime the images are great and has fine details respectively but in the night is where the noise starts to become more visible and to get better details at night HDR mode images with bit of steady hands helps to produce slightly better images still image quality at night is quite nice could have been bit better. It does 1080p@30fps HDR video recording with video stabilization and stereo sound having bit-rate of 17mbps respectively and stores in mp4 format. The video recording clarity is Great overall. Daytime the video clarity is great and has fine details respectively but at night video clarity is pretty nice could have been bit better. It also has a 1.6MP front camera for selfe's which does 720p video recording and clarity is quite good.
SOFTWARE, HARDWARE, PERFORMANCE & BENCHMARKS
It runs Android (OS) 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. It has a Nvidia Tegra K1 (T132) 64-Bit Denver processor running a dual core at 2.3 GHZ (ARM Cortex-A15 Architecture Revision 3) with 2GB RAM and Kepler DX1 GPU (192 NVIDIA CUDA core) GPU. The performance is Top class which provides number of graphic intensive games and multitasking run very well and there is no lag at all.
