HTC DESIRE 820Q REVIEW


HTC launched  midrange android smartphone namely Desire 820Q (Dual Sim) in India which is priced @ 22,900/-. It is available is White, Orange, Grey and Blue shades.

DESIGN, BUILD QUALITY & DISPLAY
The design of this phone is Great. It has a corning gorilla glass 3 on front and a polycarbonate unibody back and feels  good in hands. It is slim at 7.7mm and weighs 155gms. It has 5.5 inch HD LCD display of resolution 720 x 1280 with 267 ppi. The viewing angles and sunlight legibility of the display is Very good. It runs on HTC's Sense 6.0 User Interface. The display supports 10 multi-touch points and the brightness of the screen is very good.

STORAGE, MULTIMEDIA & CONNECTIVITYS
It has 16GB of internal storage which is further expandable upto 128GB. The device features dedicated multimedia apps such as Zoe camera app stores all your images and has built video player as well as music player which stores and plays respectively which are very good. FM radio comes pre-installed too. Connectivities like 2G, 3G speeds upto 42.2mbps download & 5.76mbps upload, 4G speeds upto 150mbps download & 50mbps upload, Wifi a/b/g/n, Wifi Dual-band, Wifi hotsopt, USB OTG as well as Bluetooth 4.0 .But does not have NFC.

CAMERA & VIDEO RECORDING CAPABILITIES
It has a 13MP rear camera with autofocus and  led flash which features Simultaneous image and video recording, Geo-tagging, Touch focus, Image stabilization, HDR etc. The camera clarity is Great overall. Daytime the images are Great and has fine details respectively but in the night is where the noise starts to become more visible and to get better details at night HDR mode images with bit of steady hands helps to produce slightly better images and clarity is quite good. It does FULL HD 1080p@30fps HDR video recording with video stabilization and stereo sound having bit-rate of 16-17 mbps and stores in mp4 format. The video recording clarity is great overall. Daytime the video clarity is Very good and has fine details respectively but at night video clarity is acceptable could have been better. It also has a 8MP front camera for selfe's which does 1080p video with HDR and clarity is very good.

SOFTWARE, HARDWARE, PERFORMANCE & BENCHMARKS
It runs Android (OS) 4.4.2 Kitkat out of the box. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8919) processor running a quad core at 1.2GHZ (Cortex A53) with 2GB RAM and Adreno 305 (550 MHZ single Core) GPU. The performance is great which provides number of graphic intensive games and multitasking run very well and there is no lag at all.
