MOTOROLA MOTO G REVIEW



Motorola launched its midrange android smartphone namely Moto G (dual sim) in India which is priced @ 12,499/-(8GB) & 13999/-(16GB) sold via Flipkart. It is available is Black and white shades with exchangeable colourful back panels.
DESIGN, BUILD QUALITY & DISPLAY
The design of this phone is good. It has corning glass 3 on front and a matte plastic on the back and feels great in hands. It is slim at 10.6mm and weighs 143gms. It has 4.5 inch HD IPS display of resolution 720 x 1280 with 326 ppi. The viewing angles and sunlight legibility of the display is very good. It runs on very close stock android User Interface. The display supports 5 multi-touch points and the brightness of the screen is great.

STORAGE, MULTIMEDIA & CONNECTIVITYS
It has 8GB/16GB of internal storage which is not further expandable. The device features dedicated multimedia apps like google play music for songs and a stock gallery and a video player which are good. FM radio comes pre-installed too. Conductivities like 2G, 3G speeds upto 21mbps download & upto 5.76mbps upload, Wifi b/g/n, Wifi hotsopt, USB OTG as well as Bluetooth 4.0 LE (Low Energy) But lacks NFC.

CAMERA & VIDEO RECORDING CAPABILITIES
It has a 5MP rear camera with autofocus and Led flash which features Simultaneous image and video recording, Geo-tagging, Touch focus, Image stabilization, HDR etc. The camera clarity is just good overall. Daytime the images are pretty good and has fine details respectively but in the night is where the noise starts to become more visible and to get better details at night HDR mode images with bit of steady hands helps to produce slightly better images still image quality at night is just above average. It does HD 720p@30fps video recording with video stabilization and stereo sound but lacks HDR having bit-rate of 10-12 mbps and stores in mp4 format. The video recording clarity is pretty good overall. Daytime the video clarity is very good and has fine details respectively but at night video clarity is pretty descent could have been bit better. It also has a 1.3MP front camera for selfe's which does 480p video recording and clarity is pretty descent.

SOFTWARE, HARDWARE, PERFORMANCE & BENCHMARKS
It runs Android (OS) 4.3 Jellybean out of the box with planned kitkat 4.4.2 update. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 (MSM8226) processor running a quad core at 1.2 GHZ (Cortex-A7 architecture) with 1 GB RAM and Adreno 305 (450MHZ single core) GPU. The performance is Excellent which provides number of graphic intensive games and multitasking run very well and there is no lag at all.

It has a non removable Li-Ion 2070 mah battery. The battery life is good which is given below.
