Samsung launched its successor of budget android smartphone namely Galaxy S Duos 2 in India which is priced @ 10,500/-. It is available is Black And White shades.
DESIGN AND BUILD QUALITY
The design of this phone is pretty descent. It has scratch resistant glass on front and a matte plastic on the back and feels ok in hands. It is slim at 10.6mm and weighs 118gms.
DISPLAY
It has 4 inch WVGA display of resolution 480 x 800 with 233 ppi. The viewing angles and sunlight legibility of the display is above descent.
STORAGE
It has 4GB of internal storage which is further expandable upto 64GB. The device features dedicated multimedia apps Which are good.
CONNECITVITIES
On-board connectivities such as 2G, 3G, Wifi and Bluetooth 4.0 are standard. But lacks NFC
CAMERA
It has a 5MP rear camera with autofocus and Led flash which features Geo-tagging, Touch focus, Image stabilization, etc but lacks HDR. The camera clarity is good. It does HD 720p@30fps video recording with video stabilization and stereo sound having bit-rate of 8-10 mbps and stores in mp4 format. The video recording clarity is good. It also has a VGA front camera
PERFORMANCE AND BENCHMARKS
It runs Android (OS) 4.2.2 Jellybean out of the box. It has a Broadcom (BCM28145/28155) processor running a deal core at 1.2 GHZ with 768 MB RAM and Broadcom video core 4 GPU. The performance is above descent which provides quite a number of high graphic intensive games and multitasking run well but with little hiccups some times and there is a bit lag but at most of the cases its quite lag free.
