APPLE IPHONE 5C REVIEW

 

    

Apple launched its new iPhone namely IPhone 5C in India which is priced @ 40990/-. It is available in black, white, green, yellow and blue shades. 

DESIGN, DURABLITY & DISPLAY

Apple IPhone 5C comes with same design as previous one's. It uses corning gorilla glass with fingerprint resistant coating on the front and a polycarbonate shell on the back and sides making it quite durable. It is slim at 9mm and weighs 132gms. It has a 4 inch 16M colour LED backlit IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen of 640 x 1136 resolution with 327ppi. The viewing angles and sunlight legibility of the display is very good. The screen supports 10 multi-touch points and the brightness of the screen is very good too.

STORAGE, MULTIMEDIA & CONNECTIVITES

It has a 8GB/16GB/32GB internal storage and is not further expandable. The device features dedicated multimedia apps which are good. The dedicated apps such as I-music, I-movies, as wells as default gallery provides storing of music, videos, and images respectively. On-board connectivity's such as 2G, 3G, 4G, Wifi , Bluetooth 4.0 (file sharing from apple to apple only) and USB 2.0 come standard but lacks NFC.

 

CAMERA & VIDEO RECORDING CAPABILITIES

It has an 8 MP (1/3.2 inch sensor size) Rear camera with LED flash which features Simultaneous HD video and image recording, sweep panorama, touch focus, image stabilization ,HDR etc.. Camera clarity is great. It does FULL HD 1080p@30fps & HD 720p@120fps video recording with video stabilization and mono sound but lacks HDR having bit-rate of 16-18 Mbps in MP4 format. Video recording clarity is great. It has a 1.2 MP Front camera which does HD 720p@30fps video recording.

SOFTWARE, HARDWARE & PERFORMANCE

It runs IOS 7 out of the box it is upgradable to 7.0.4 also upgradable to IOS8.1. It has an Apple A7 processer (Cyclone based ARM V8 with 64 Bit architecture) running a dual core at 1.3 GHZ with 1GB RAM and PowerVR SGX 543MP3 (triple-core graphics). The performance is great which provides high graphic intensive games and multitasking run smoothly and there is no lag at all.

 

BATTERY LIFE PERFORMANCE

It has a non-removable Li-Pro 1510 MAH battery. The battery life is good which is given below.

TALKTIME : upto 10:20H (2G) / upto 10:50H (3G).

STANDBY TIME : upto 250H (2G) / upto 250H (3G).
