LG OPTIMUS L5 II REVIEW

 
LG launched lower-end android smartphone namely Optimus L5 II in India which is priced @ 10,990/-(single sim) & 11,990/-(dual sim). It is available is Black and White shades.

DESIGN, BUILD QUALITY & DISPLAY

The design of this phone is Pretty good. It has a scratch resistant glass on front and a plastic matte finish on the back making it quite durable. It is slim at 9.2mm and weighs 103gms. It has a 4 inch 16M IPS WVGA LCD capacitive touchscreen of 480X800 resolution with 233ppi. The viewing angles and sunlight legibility is good. It runs on Optimus 2.0 User Interface.The display supports 4 multi-touch points and the brightness of the screen is good.

STORAGE, MULTIMEDIA & CONNECTIVITIES
The device comes with a 4GB internal storage and is further expandable upto 32GB. The device features dedicated multimedia apps which are quite good. Connectvities like 2G, 3G speeds upto 21.1mbps download & upto 5.76mbps upload, WIFI, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS and USB are standard but also has NFC.

CAMERA AND VIDEO RECORDING CAPABILITIES
It has a 5 MP Rear camera with auto focus & LED flash which features Geo-tagging, touch focus etc. The camera clarity is above average overall. Daytime the images are Fine and has some details but in the night is where the noise starts to become more visible still image quality at night is average. It does VGA@30fps video recording and stores in MP4 format. The video recording clarity is average overall. Daytime the video clarity is Fine and has some details but in the video clarity at night is average. It doesn't have a Front camera.

SOFTWARE, HARDWARE, PERFORMANCE & BENCHMARKS
It runs on Android (OS) 4.1.2 jelly bean out of the box. It has a Mediatek (MTK6575) SOC (System On Chip) running a Single-Core processor clocked at 1 GHZ with 512 MB RAM and a PowerVR SGX531 GPU. The performance is Slightly above average which provides very good number of graphic intensive games and multitasking run well enough and there is a bit of lag occasionally.

BATTERY LIFE PERFORMANCE
It has a removable Li-Ion 1700 MAH battery. The battery life is good which is given below.
