LG OPTIMUS G REVIEW

LG launched flagship android smartphone namely Optimus G  in India which is priced @ 32,990/-. It is available is Black and White shades.

DESIGN, BUILD QUALITY & DISPLAY

The design is quite good which is an rectangular design. It uses corning gorilla glass panels on both sides by providing good looks and making it durable. It is slim at 8.5mm and weighs 145 gms. It has a 4.7 inch 16M True HD IPS+ LCD capacitive touchscreen of 768x1280 (WXGA) resolution with 318ppi. Viewing angles are good but sunlight legibility could have been better. It runs on Optimus 3.0 UI.

STORAGE, MULTIMEDIA & CONNECTIVITIES

It has a 32GB internal storage and is not further expandable. The device features dedicated multimedia apps which are good. On-board connectvities such as 2G, 3G,4G (LTE), WIFI, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS & GLONASS,  NFC and USB are standard.

CAMERA AND VIDEO RECORDING CAPABILITIES

It has an 8 MP Rear camera which features Geo-tagging,  touch focus,  face detection, HDR etc. The camera clarity is good. It does FULL HD 1080p@30fps video recording with video stabilization and stereo sound having bite-rate 12-14 Mbps and stores in MP4 format. The video recording clarity is good. It has a 1.3 MP Front camera which does HD 720p@30fps video recording.

SOFTWARE, HARDWARE, PERFORMANCE & BENCHMARKS

It runs Android (OS) 4.1.2 jelly bean out of the box. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 PRO (APQ8064) processor running a quad core 1.5 GHZ with 2 GB RAM and an Adreno 320 GPU. The performance is very good which provides high graphic intensive games and multitasking run smoothly and there is no lag at all.
