DESIGN, BUILD QUALITY & DISPLAY

HTC 8X is a flagship Windows smartphone from HTC. The design is very simple but neat. It uses corning gorrila glass 2 front pannel and the back is made of polycarbonate body which is quite durable. It is slim at 10.1mm and weighs 130gms. It has a 4.3 inch 16M Super LCD2 capacitive touchscreen of 720x1280 (HD) resolution making a ppi of 342. The viewings angles are good and the sunlight legibality is good too.

STORAGE, MULTIMEDIA & CONNECTIVITIES

It has a 16GB on-board storage which cannot be further expanded which is bit of disappointment rather having 32GB instead. And it has 7GB of skydrive storage which is quite good. The multimedia experience is different from android and the multimedia apps are very good that supports good number of codecs and it has an in-built manual Equlizer which is quite good and it does also has beats audio sound enhancement. On board connectivities such as 2G, 3G, 4G (LTE), WIFI, Bluetooth 3.1, GPS & GLONASS, NFC and USB are standard.

CAMERA & VIDEO RECORDING CAPABILITIES

It has an 8MP rear camera with led flash. It has Geo-tagging, Touch focus and a bunch of cool effects. The camera clarity is very good but lacking HDR. It records full HD 1080p@30fps. It stores in mp4 format with bitrate of 17-18 mbps and sound is mono again which is a bit of disappointment. The video recording clarity is good. It has a 2.1MP front facing camera which does Full HD at 1080p@30fps.

HARDWARE, SOFTWARE & PERFORMANCE

It runs windows 8 OS. It is powered by a dual core 1.5 Ghz dual core snapdragon S4(MSM8960) processor with Adreno 225 GPU and has 1 GB RAM. the performance of the device is very good and can play varity of games there is no lag ever.

BATTERY LIFE PERFORMANCE

It has a non-removable Li-Ion 1800 MAH battery. The battery life is above descent which is given below.
