APPLE IPHONE 5 REVIEW

Apple launched its new iPhone namely IPhone 5 in India which is priced @ 45990/-. It is available in black & slate and white & silver shades. 

DESIGN, BUILD QUALITY & DISPLAY

Apple IPhone 5 comes with same design as previous one with small changes. It uses corning gorilla glass 2 with fingerprint resistant coating on the front and an aluminium finish on the back and sides making it durable. It is slim at 7.6mm and weighs 112gms. It has a 4 inch 16M colour LED backlit LCD capacitive touchscreen of 640 x 1136 resolution with 327ppi. The viewing angles and sunlight legibility of the display is very good.

STORAGE, MULTIMEDIA & CONNECTIVITIES

It has a 16GB/32GB/64GB internal storage and is not further expandable. The device features dedicated multimedia apps which are good. On-board connectivity's such as 2G, 3G, 4G, WIFI, Bluetooth 4.0 (file sharing from apple to apple only) and USB 2.0 come standard but lacks NFC.

CAMERA & VIDEO RECORDING CAPABALITIES

It has an 8 MP Rear camera with led flash which features Simultaneous HD video and image recording, sweep panorama, touch focus, image stabilization ,HDR etc.. Camera clarity is very good. It does FULL HD 1080p@30fps video recording with video stabilization and mono sound but lacks HDR having bit-rate of 16-18 Mbps in MP4 format. Video recording clarity is very good. It has a 1.2 MP Front camera which does HD 720p@30fps video recording.

HARDWARE, SOFTWARE & PERFORMANCE

It runs IOS 6 and is upgradable to 6.1.3. It has an Apple A6 processer running a dual core at 1.2 GHZ with 1GB RAM and Power VR SGX 543MP3(Triple-core graphics). The performance is very good which provides high graphic intensive games and multitasking run smoothly and there is no lag at all.

BATTERY LIFE PERFORMANCE

It has a non-removable Li-Pro 1440 MAH battery. The battery life is average which is given below.

VIDEO WATCHING : upto 9:55H.

TALKTIME : upto 8:30H (2G) / upto 8:30H (3G).

STANDBY TIME : upto 225H (2G) / upto 225H (3G).
