Samsung launched its flagship android smartphone namely Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge both being Dual sim in India which are priced at 48,900 & 56,900 respectively. It is available is Black, Gold & Silver shades.

DESIGN, BUILD QUALITY & DISPLAY

The design of this phone is Great. Both S7 & S7 edge has corning glass 4 on front as well as on back and metal frame which feels great in hands. The S7 is slim at 7.9mm and weighs 152gms & S7 edge is slim at 7.7mm and weighs 157gms. The S7 has 5.1 inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display of resolution 2560 x 1440 with 577 ppi and S7 Edge has 5.5 inch curved edge screen keeping same resolution with 534 ppi. The viewing angles and sunlight legibility of the display is Excellent. It runs on Touch Wiz User Interface. The display supports 10 multi-touch points and the brightness of the screen is Excellent. It is also IP68 Certified dust and water resistant, Samsung Pay (VISA & MasterCard certified) and also has Always on Display.

STORAGE, MULTIMEDIA & CONNECTIVITIES

Both S7 & S7 edge has 32GB of internal storage which is further expandable upto 200GB. The device features dedicated multimedia apps like music for songs, a gallery to store all images and videos and a movie player for playing movies respectively which are quite good. FM radio comes pre-installed. Connectivities like 2G, 3G speeds upto 42mbps download & upto 5.76mbps upload, 4G speeds up to 150mbps download & upto 50mbps upload, Wifi a/b/g/n/ac, Wifi dual-band, Wifi direct, Wifi hotsopt, USB OTG, GPS & GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.2 LE (Low Energy) and NFC support but lacks IR (Infrared Blaster) port. It also has Fingerprint scanner & Gyroscope, Barometer, Heart rate & SPO2 (Blood Oxygen) sensors support.

CAMERA & VIDEO RECORDING CAPABILITIES

Both S7 & S7 edge has a 12MP (1/2.6 inch sensor with F 1.7 Lens) optically stabilized rear camera with phase detection autofocus and LED flash which features Simultaneous image and video recording, Geo-tagging, Touch focus, Image stabilization, Dual camera, HDR etc including various shooting modes which are very good. The camera clarity is Excellent overall. Daytime the images are Excellent and has good amount of details respectively but in the night is where the noise starts to become bit visible visible and to get better details at night HDR mode images with bit of steady hands helps to produce slightly better images still image quality at night is great. It does 4K (Ultra HD) 2160p@30fps,Full HD 1080p@60fps, 1080p@30fps & 720p@240fps video recording with video stabilization and stereo sound with HDR having bit-rate of 17mbps for 30fps, 34mbps for 60fps, 47mbps for 4K videos and stores in mp4 format. The video recording clarity is Excellent overall. Daytime the video clarity is great and has good amount of details respectively but at night video clarity is great. It also has a 5MP (F 1.7 Lens) front camera for selfe's with 1440p video recording and clarity is Excellent.

Both S7 & S7 edge runs Android (OS) 6.0 Lollipop out of the box. It has Samsung's Exynos 8 (8890) 64-Bit SOC (System On Chip) running an Octa-Core which is a combination of a Quad-Core processor clocked at 2.3GHZ (Exynos M1 Mongoose) & a Quad-Core processor clocked at 1.6 GHZ (ARM Cortex-A53 Architecture) with 4GB RAM & Mali-T880 MP12 (650 MHZ) GPU. The performance is Excellent which provides number of graphic intensive games and multitasking run very well and there is no lag at all.
