NOKIA LUMIA 630 REVIEW


Nokia launched its lower midrange windows phone namely Lumia 630 in India which is priced @ 10,999/-. It is available is Black, White, Green, Yellow & Orange.

DESIGN, BUILD QUALITY & DISPLAY
The design of this phone is good. It has corning gorilla glass 3 on front and a plastic back and feels good in hands. It is slim at 9.2mm and weighs 132gms. It has 4.5 inch FWVGA IPS LCD display of resolution 480 x 854 with 221 ppi. The viewing angles are pretty good and sunlight legibility of the display is also pretty good. It runs on windows tile based User Interface. The brightness of the screen is great. It also has Nokia's clear black display technology which is good.

STORAGE, MULTIMEDIA & CONNECTIVITYS
It has 8GB of internal storage which is further expandable upto 128GB. The device features dedicated multimedia apps like google play music for songs and a stock gallery and a video player which are good. FM radio comes pre-installed. Conductivities like 2G, 3G speeds upto 21.1mbps download & upto 5.76mbps upload, Wifi b/g/n, Wifi direct, Wifi hotsopt as well as Bluetooth 4.0 LE (Low Energy) but lacks NFC .

CAMERA & VIDEO RECORDING CAPABILITIES
It has a 5MP rear camera 1/4 inch sensor with autofocus which features Simultaneous image and video recording, Geo-tagging, Touch focus, Image stabilization, HDR etc. The camera clarity is pretty good overall. Daytime the images are pretty good and has fine details respectively but in the night is where the noise starts to become more visible and to get better details at night HDR mode images with bit of steady hands helps to produce slightly better images still image quality at night is pretty acceptable could have been bit better. It does HD 720p@30fps video recording with video stabilization and stereo sound but lacks HDR having bit-rate of 8 mbps and stores in mp4 format. The video recording clarity is pretty good overall. Daytime the video clarity is pretty good and has fine details respectively but at night video clarity is pretty acceptable could have been bit better. It doesn't have a front facing camera. 

SOFTWARE, HARDWARE & PERFORMANCE
It runs Microsoft Windows phone 8.1(OS) out of the box. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 (MSM8226) processor running a quad core 1.2 GHZ (Cortex-A7) with 512MB RAM and Adreno 305 (450MHZ single core) GPU. The performance is Quite good which provides number of graphic intensive games and multitasking run quite well and there is bit of lag at some cases

BATTERY LIFE PERFORMANCE
It has a removable Li-Ion 1830 mah battery. The battery life is good which is given below.

TALKTIME : upto 16H(2G) / upto 14:30H(3G).
STANDBY TIME: upto 430H(2G) / upto 420H(3G).
