CES 2017 EVENT ROUND UP


CONSUMER ELECTRONICS SHOW (CES) 2017 HIGHLIGHTS JAN 6 - JAN 9 2017

SONY

Sony did not showcase any smartphone this CES but unveiled its next gen line up of Bravia of which the flagship uses OLED technology (first for Sony) with 4K HDR display. Also Sony did announce the updated Duo EXTRA BASS series of Headphones & earphones along with a 4K HDR Home theater projector & In-car Audio line up which features EXTRA BASS technology.    


SAMSUNG

Samsung too did not showcase any smartphone this CES but unveiled its duo Chromebooks, The Chromebook Plus & The Chromebook Pro. Both models Run Chrome OS on top where as, The Pro model comes with Intel processor, The Plus model comes with ARM-Based CPU. 


ASUS


Asus did showcase its duo smartphones in this CES Namely Zenfone AR & Zenfone 3 Zoom. The Zenfone AR Features 8GB RAM (Highest on a smartphone) and Snapdragon 821 SOC with 5.7 inch 2k SAMOLED display, Android Nougat 7.0 and specs continue in the flagship grade but the main talking point of this device is its cameras featuring AR (Argumented Reality) which has motion & depth sensors in addition to the 23MP rear camera along with Project Tango (second on a smartphone as phab 2 pro by Lenovo takes first) & google day dream compatibility(first on smartphone). The Zenfone Zoom features Dual 12MP OIS Camera with 2.3X Optical Zoom which are some good stuff coming in mid range devices by asus and other specs includes Snapdragon 625 SOC with 4GB RAM, fingerprint scanner and specs continue in mid range fashion.
The official price is not announced for the duo but the starting prices are expected to be approx 40900 INR (600 USD) for Zenfone AR and approx 25900 INR (380 USD) for Zenfone 3 Zoom and the duo is expected for feb/march release date.

LG

LG did showcase its line up smartphones Namely Stylus 3 & updated K series smartphones. The Stylus 3 Features a fingerprint scanner, 5.7 inch  HD Display and a Mediatek MT6750 SOC and specs continues as mid range offerings. The K Series on the other hand features similar specs to stylus with snapdragon 410, 5.2 inch HD display &1.5 GB RAM as some downgrade to keep up with its price and the K3 & K4 sports snapdragon 210 SOC while the K8 comes with Snapdragon 425 SOC.
The official price is not announced but the starting prices are expected to be approx 17900 INR (263 USD) for stylus 3 and approx 13900 INR (204 USD)(K10), 11900 INR (175 USD)(K8), 7900 INR (116 USD)(k4) and 6900 INR (101 USD)(K3) and are market dependent and expected for feb/march release date.


ZTE

ZTE did showcase its line up smartphones Namely Blade V8 Pro followed by ZTE Project CSX (also called ZTE Hawkeye) smartphones. The V8 Pro Features a fingerprint scanner, 5.5 inch Full HD Display and a Snapdragon 625 SOC and specs continues as mid range offerings along with the specs is the talking point of a dual 13MP camera (also to be found on honor 6x). The project CSX features a self-adhering smartphone which can stick on many surfaces, also it offers gestures which can be controlled with natural gestures of eyes .
The official price is not announced but the starting prices for ZTE Blade V8 Pro is expected to be approx 21900 INR (321 USD) with expected feb/march release date.
